Discusses new aerodynamic problems caused by high speed flight. Explains the different flow regions corresponding to the subsonic, transonic, and supersonic velocities.  Demonstrates the generation of shock waves in supersonic flow.  Shows filmed sequences of supersonic flow configurations.
