Summary
[motion picture] Demonstrates the step-by-step methods for determining the sex of the fruit fly  (Drosophila Melanogaster)  which is commonly used in introductory genetics studies.  Includes anesthetizing (immobilizing) the flies, techniques for positioning the flies under a microscope, handling the flies with a camel's hair brush, and identifying distinguishing sex characteristics.  Shows the equipment used and possible misleading factors.
