Describes the step-by-step story of the laying of a pipeline for transporting oil from Mt. Vernon to Peru, Indiana.  Shows men and modern machinery surveying and clearing the path, digging and refilling the trench, wrapping and laying the pipe, and crossing under highways and over the Wabash River.  Describes the construction and operation of the terminal and substation storage tanks, pumps, and checking systems.
