Summary
Bill Todd, a machine tool operator, is promoted to a supervisor position at the factory where he works. Using dramatized illustrations, the plant supervisor explains to Bill the meaning of working with people instead of machines. Pointing out "a supervisor's value is determined by the output of the people he works with," the film shows that maintaining the productivity of workers requires a different set of skills from operating a machine.
