The process of growing and refining sugar cane in Hawaii is summarized and shown in pictures. Finally, detailed film of growing, harvesting and refining sugar beets in the Western U.S. is shown (film provided by Western Beet Sugar Producers, Inc.). Songs performed include "Sugarbush" by Josef Marais and "How Lovely Cooks the Meat."
