She has also served the community in a station management role, and it is as a news anchor that Jackson has become best known in the region. In 2016, Jackson was tapped to lead the re-launched NBC news channel in Fort Wayne. He graduated from Purdue University in 1961. He helped found C-SPAN, the Cable-Satellite Public Affairs Network, in 1979 and served the company as its chief executive until 2012. At C-SPAN, Lamb conducted thousands of broadcast interviews, including those on the programs “Booknotes” and “Q&A” with his unique interview style of focusing on short, direct questions. She won the CASPER award her first year on the show for her tough questioning of guests. Her success led her to host a similar show in Boston where she stayed for more than four years. In 1996, she married U.S. Senator William S. Cohen and became known as the “First Lady of the Pentagon” when her husband became Secretary of Defense. She initiated several programs within the Pentagon, including her own series of interviews on Pentagon TV. Producer: Ruth Ann Arney; Narrator: David White; Production: DreamVision Media Partners; At age 24, David Keister applied to the FCC for what was to be his first station, a 250-watt daytime station in Martinsville, Indiana. With a few thousand dollars inherited from his father, he personally constructed this station, which made it possible over the next 40 years for him to own 30-plus stations, including six other stations built from the ground up in Indiana. Keister put his stamp on more than 10 different Indiana communities while solely owning 26 different AM and FM signals. His company has totally believed in being “local,” serving the unique and varied interests of each community. In 2013, Keister was honored by the Indiana Broadcasters Association with its Lifetime Achievement Award. He died April 8, 2020, at age 79. --Words from the Indiana Broadcast Pioneers

He was a main player in developing the TV and radio broadcasts for Purdue University and Indiana University basketball and football. He was also the voice of Purdue basketball and football for 18 years on a statewide network. Pate was responsible for establishing and implementing the sports networks for the IHSAA beginning in 1977 and managed these networks through 1997. Erica Snowden-Rodríguez (Akron, Ohio) Since moving to Ohio in 2005, Erica has led an active career as a performer and teaching artist in the region of Northeast Ohio. In addition to the Akron Symphony Orchestra, they are the principal cellist of the Erie Philharmonic and former principal cellist of the Canton Symphony. They perform in a variety of chamber music and recital settings within the community and abroad. Erica has toured nationally with Sphinx Virtuosi, a chamber orchestra comprised of the nation’s top Latinx and African-American string players, and has appeared as a performer and lecturer at many of Cleveland’s cultural and medical centers, including the Cleveland Museum of Art, Mixon Hall, and the Cleveland Clinic. In addition to an active performance career, Erica is a music educator, having served on the faculty at The University of Akron School of Music from 2013-14 and at the Cleveland State University Department of Music from 2014-16. Summary:
The Indiana School of the Sky radio program of the Indiana University Department of Radio and Television began broadcasting educational radio programs in 1947 and continued through the early 1960s. The program reached schools throughout Indiana and nearby states and led to new course offerings at IU. Indiana University students performed in the radio programs originally intended for children ages 4-8 aired for 15 minutes during each school day. Eventually the popularity of the programs called for high school programming as well, and later adults also tuned into the programs. This collection contains recordings of these programs.
