Isobel Ludant, a model working in a high-end clothing shop, becomes embroiled in a quarrel, resulting in a ruined gown. To pay for the dress, she turns to her father, an artist, who gets entangled with art thieves while trying to secure the money and is subsequently arrested. Meanwhile, Isobel is dismissed from her job and later becomes the secretary to art dealer Francis Doran, who is unaware of her father's troubles. As her father is released from prison and his reputation is tarnished, Doran supports Isobel, and their relationship evolves, especially as his artistic success begins to rise.
Illustrates the variety of environments in which plants survive, and shows adaptations developed by various plants for survival and reproduction within their own environment. The role of man as a mediator of environment is shown as he modifies living conditions of plants, and then must provide protection for them. The viewer is encouraged to search for adaptations in the plant world around him.
