Ralph Neas, former Executive Director of the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights and former Chief Legislative Assistant to U.S. Senator Edward W. Brooke, weighs in on his experiences with the 1975 Voting Rights Act extension and the parallels it had with the youth vote Voting Rights Act effort, particularly with a focus on the civil rights community.
